About Trice Co.Trice Co. is an independent art and apparel brand creating original optical illusion clothing and museum-quality art prints. Every design is built around moiré patterns, mesmerising geometric graphics that shift, shimmer, and play tricks on the eye.
Founded by Jared Trice — a creative director with over 20 years in the design industry — Trice Co. started as a personal art project and grew into a curated collection of graphic apparel, activewear, and wall art. That background in branding, visual identity, and creative strategy is behind every Trice Co. design, from the geometry of a moire pattern tee to the colour science in a pair of optical illusion yoga leggings.

Products & Design-
A moiré pattern is an optical illusion created when two sets of lines or grids overlap at slightly different angles. The result is a shimmering, wave-like visual effect that appears to move or shift depending on your viewing angle and distance.
The word "moiré" comes from the French term for a type of watered silk fabric. Today, moiré patterns appear across art, design, architecture, and fashion, anywhere overlapping geometric structures create unexpected visual interference.
Every Trice Co. design is built around original moiré patterns created from scratch by founder Jared Trice, drawing on principles from op art, geometry, and visual perception.
-
Op art (short for optical art) is an art movement that uses geometric patterns, lines, and colour to create visual illusions of movement, depth, and vibration. It emerged in the 1960s with artists like Bridget Riley and Victor Vasarely, and continues to influence design, fashion, and architecture today.
Moiré patterns, the foundation of most Trice Co. designs, are a key technique within op art. By overlapping precise geometric grids at calculated angles, our designs create the shimmering, shifting visual effects that op art is known for.
-
Giclée (pronounced "zhee-clay") is a high-resolution printing method used for fine art reproduction. It uses archival pigment inks sprayed through microscopic nozzles onto museum-quality paper or canvas, producing prints with exceptional colour accuracy, detail, and longevity.
All Trice Co. art prints are produced using giclée printing on heavyweight archival paper. When properly displayed away from direct sunlight, giclée prints can last 100+ years without significant fading.
This is the same printing method used by galleries and museums worldwide for art reproductions.

All Trice Co. yoga leggings are made from a premium polyester-spandex blend with four-way stretch. The fabric is squat-proof (fully opaque when stretched), moisture-wicking, and holds vibrant colour through repeated washes.
Key specs:
- Fabric: 82% polyester / 18% spandex
- Fit: High-waisted compression fit
- Print: Full sublimation, the optical illusion design wraps edge to edge with no white gaps
- Certification: OEKO-TEX Standard 100, tested for harmful substances
- Care: Machine wash cold, tumble dry low
-
Yes. All Trice Co. yoga leggings are designed to be fully squat-proof. The fabric stays completely opaque during deep squats, lunges, and bends. The high-waisted compression fit keeps everything in place without rolling or sliding.
The sublimation printing process means the optical illusion pattern is dyed into the fabric fibres, not printed on top, so there's no cracking, peeling, or fading even with heavy use and regular washing.
-
Yes. All Trice Co. leggings are machine washable. For best results and longest print life:
- Wash inside out on a cold or cool cycle
- Use a gentle detergent, avoid bleach and fabric softener
- Tumble dry on low heat or hang dry
- Do not iron directly on the printed area
The sublimation printing process bonds the design into the fabric fibres rather than sitting on top, so the optical illusion pattern won't crack, peel, or fade with normal washing.
-
All Trice Co. graphic tees are heavyweight garment-dyed t-shirts made from 100% ring-spun cotton. Garment dyeing means each shirt is dyed after construction rather than before, giving it a lived-in softness from day one and a rich, vintage-style colour that only gets better with wear.
Key specs:
- Fabric: 100% ring-spun cotton
- Weight: Heavyweight (mid-weight options available on select styles)
- Finish: Garment-dyed for a soft hand feel and vintage look
- Print: Direct-to-garment (DTG) for sharp detail and soft-to-the-touch graphics
- Certification: OEKO-TEX Standard 100
- Care: Machine wash cold inside out, tumble dry low
-
Standard t-shirts are made from pre-dyed fabric, the material is coloured before it's cut and sewn. Garment-dyed t-shirts are sewn first, then dyed as a finished garment. This creates a softer hand feel, a richer colour depth, and that slightly worn-in look from the very first wear.
Garment-dyed tees also age beautifully, they develop a natural fade over time rather than looking old or worn out. It's the same process used by premium brands for that effortless vintage aesthetic.
All Trice Co. graphic tees use garment dyeing, which means the moire pattern graphics are printed after the dyeing process using DTG (direct-to-garment) printing for crisp, detailed artwork that's soft to the touch.
-
Trice Co. uses a print-on-demand production model, which means every product is made to order, nothing is mass-produced or sitting in a warehouse. This eliminates overstock waste, one of the biggest environmental issues in the fashion industry.
Our apparel is printed on OEKO-TEX certified fabrics using water-based inks that are free from harmful chemicals. Because we manufacture through regional fulfilment centres worldwide, orders ship from the facility closest to you, reducing shipping distances and carbon emissions.
-
Trice Co. products are available in sizes XS through to XL across most styles. Sizing follows standard US measurements.
Each product page includes a detailed size guide with measurements for chest, waist, hips, and inseam where applicable. We recommend checking the size chart on the specific product you're interested in, as fit can vary slightly between garment types.
If you're between sizes, we generally recommend sizing up for a more relaxed fit or staying true to size for a compression fit (especially for activewear).
Please note that resale or redistribution of our products and their printed designs/graphics is strictly prohibited.
